The Lake County Corn Dogs baseball team will play their first game in franchise history tonight (May 23) at Dowling Park in Hammond. Game time is 5 p.m.
The Corn Dogs will play the Northern League’s oldest franchise, the Southland Vikings, who have won three league championships since 2011. Their next opponent will be the Crestwood Panthers at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at Dowling Park.
Thursday, May 26 will be the Corn Dogs’ first-ever home game. A three-game series versus the NWI Oilmen is on tap. First pitch for games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday is 7 p.m.
Home games are played at Legacy Fields, 851 Center Ross Road, Crown Point, IN.
In June, the Corn Dogs will play 26 games over the course of 30 days.
