Tyler Schultz is an infielder from Hobart, Indiana. He is entering his second year of college baseball at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, and will be playing in his second season in the Northern League.
Schultz was a three sport-athlete for the Hobart Brickies, playing baseball, football and basketball. He had a .367 career batting average for the baseball team, but his senior year cancelled over the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a freshman with the Pride, Schultz played in 11 games and had a .325 average with a home run. After his freshman year, he joined the Crestwood Panthers where he had a .304 average and won a MCL player of the week with a .348 average and driving in 10 runs over seven games.
