Jim Masters, of Griffith, Indiana, grew up in Lansing, Illinois, graduated TF South High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University.

Jim has spent much of his professional career as a journalist working for newspapers in the Northwest Indiana region, producing breaking news coverage on government, politics, crime/courts, sports and human interest topics. Since 2005, he has served as an internal corporate communications manager for a global Fortune 100 technology and management consulting company.

He has two sons, Evan and Andrew, and in his spare time enjoys biking, playing golf and volleyball, and writing, recording and producing his own music.

As a Minority Owner of the Lake County Corn Dogs, Jim will focus his efforts on ensuring the franchise succeeds both on and off the field.
